Idaho has a population of generous and kind Americans numbering somewhere around a million and a half people. The state capital, and its largest city, is Boise. Idaho is also known as the forty-third state to enter the union and is, in fact, nicknamed the “Gem state” because of its extensive selection of natural resources. One of these natural resources is the adventure behind whitewater rafting. Many people do not count an adventurous prospect such as Idaho whitewater rafting trips to be natural resources, but most rafters would likely disagree.

Discovering Idaho

Idaho is likely the most important agricultural state in the United States of America. This belies its quiet sensibility to accomplish other things than growing food or produce, but it does have other things to offer if you ask most residents. Whitewater rafting is becoming one of those “other things” and is fast turning the economy of the already successful state into a steady climb, garnering much state-wide acclaim for the Idaho whitewater rafting trip promotion that is steadily growing from tourist boards and departments. Now, it is commonly known that Idaho produces about one third of the United States potatoes. It is also known that potatoes are delicious. What is commonly misunderstood about the state of Idaho, however, is that while potatoes may be enjoyed throughout the United States and throughout the world, most Idahoans are quite tired of the potato. This, believe it or not, likely explains their migration to the waters and to Idaho whitewater rafting trips. Their efforts to get as far away from the potato fields as possible likely drove them to the raging waters. Of course, this is simply a theory at this point and effectively proves nothing.
